The Workshop (XHTML) is only available to students who have registered to attend – students must have basic computer competency (Contact abby.richardson@whitireia.ac.nz if you wish to register for XHTML).

NZ based Web and print designer, our CSS Master. Currently working for Provoke Established in 2001, Provoke is a premium provider of online solutions to the Asia Pacific Region, specialising in Experience Design and Microsoft software development.
Matthew will be sharing his thoughts on typography online and print typography.
Chandima is an Enterprise Solutions Consultant and a Microsoft Certified SharePoint expert who has been working with SharePoint technologies since 2001.

Amanda is a Massey Business Scholar. Amanda is currently working for e-xpert developments as a sales and marketing consultant. She is soon to relocate to London under the Highly Skilled Migrants Program to further her career.
Amanda will be discussing working with web from a marketers perspective. This will cover Search engine optimisation and interpreting web statistics.
Amanda is from Ngati Raukawa descent and currently lives in central wellington.
Lucy has over ten years experience making and managing websites. She is passionate about making information available online to diverse audiences. Whether it is streaming Squid and Whale dissections, recording curators talk about McCahon or releasing information about thousands of art works into our online database, no day is the same for a team running a big website.
Florence Liger has been a freelance web designer/developer for 5 years in France before moving to New Zealand and becoming Te Papa's web administrator. She's a web all-rounder, going from usability studies to project manegement, to hands-on coding or designing.
Base two are not only a digital media company, but a full team of design solutions including print advertising and radio. Colin Philip's, one of the four directors, will be presenting Web's historic Context to the students. We hope to also have two of Colin's team presenting. His CSS Guru Jarrid Bainbridge.
Phil is a senior analyst / programmer at ANZ National group where he is heading up the National Bank web site development project.
Phil has 6 years experience in the Wellington IT industry, where he has worked with various clients such as Fly Buys, TranzMetro, Mitre 10 and Air New Zealand.

Thomas has spent 14 years "working the web", currently as Business Analyst and Web Strategist at Shift in Wellington. Thomas' formal qualifications are in Psychology and Philosophy - enabling him to bring a rigorous understanding of human drives, tempered with an analytical process, to increasing engagement with brands and businesses over the Internet. As well as fueling his passion in social media marketing, development methodologies, web standards and the semantic web. Thomas' modus operandi is asking the question, "why do we do these things we do?"
Bindy is the Art Director for Shift’s Wellington office. She leads the Wellington design team. Bindy is a passionate advocate of the end user and is obsessed with creating content and experiences that are both relevant and enjoyable.
Ross Johnston is a web entrepeneur whose full time job is investing in and developing domain names. His background is in broadcast television and video production, where he was a commercial director/producer with TVNZ for 15yrs and later an independent producer. A unique video product led him into direct marketing and database programming, which in turn led to the internet, Since 2001 he has been building a portfolio of domain names. Presently he holds over 50.NZ geographic, and generic, domains and also has .COM .TV .MOBI holdings. He is currently working on two major projects developing domain names into successful business entities.
